Home Cinema Projection System Installation - Case Study 5
The Brief
The client wanted a Home Cinema system in his living room, with a mid-range projector, remote-controlled motorised screen, and surround system with the smallest speakers possible. Cabling was to be neat but not chased into the walls. The client also wanted audio in three other rooms and the patio area, again without cable being chased into the walls.
The Solution
A projector to suit the budget was ceiling-mounted, with the motorised screen hidden behind a beam. Despite not being able to put cabling in the walls, we did get a really good finish with trunking, which was painted in with the walls.
We chose the Bose system for its small but excellent speakers, and to run sound through the house with radio waves rather than keypads. It also gave us DVD, CD, radio and a hard drive for music storage. We put the additional room speakers on external walls as much as possible, to keep the cables out of sight on the outside.
